LinkedIn Sessions
LinkedIn sessions can expire or drop due to inactivity, password changes, or security checks. When this happens, automations will stop running until the session is restored.
Signs Your Session Has Expired
Automations show as active but no new activity is appearing in the feed.
You receive an error notification about LinkedIn authentication.
Connection requests or messages have stopped being sent.
The Admin Monitoring Panel shows repeated failures for a user.
⚠️ Important: If your automation appears to be running but no actions are being logged, an expired LinkedIn session is one of the most common causes. Check your session status before investigating further.
Reconnect Your LinkedIn Account
Go to your account settings or the LinkedIn integration page within Access Automate Outreach.
Select Reconnect or Re-authenticate LinkedIn.
Log in to LinkedIn when prompted and complete any verification steps (including 2FA if required).
Confirm the connection is restored - the status should update to Connected.
Return to your automation and verify that activity resumes in the Activity Feed.
Prevent Sessions From Expiring
Avoid changing your LinkedIn password without reconnecting the integration immediately after.
Do not manually log out of LinkedIn while automations are running.
Ensure automations are not scheduled to run at the same time as your own active LinkedIn browsing - this can trigger shared login warnings and cause session drops.
Keep your 2FA codes up to date. Refer to the Set up 2FA code article if you need to reconfigure this.
💡 Best Practices
Check the Activity Feed regularly - a sudden stop in activity is usually the first sign of a session issue.
If the session drops frequently, check whether LinkedIn has prompted a security review on the account.
Admin users can monitor session health for all team members from the Admin Monitoring Panel.
🤔 FAQs
Q1: Will leads be lost if my session expires mid-automation? Answer: No. Leads already imported into the Leads List are retained. The automation will resume processing from where it left off once the session is restored.
Q2: My session keeps dropping every few days - what should I do?
Answer: This usually indicates LinkedIn is flagging activity patterns on the account. Reduce automation run frequency and ensure the schedule does not overlap with your own LinkedIn usage. If it persists, raise an ADO ticket.
