SMS Steps in Access Automate CRM can now send automation links and chatbot links directly to your contacts. This turns SMS from a simple messaging channel into a fully connected part of your engagement workflow.

What You Can Now Do

  • Send a link to another automation via SMS, routing a contact into a follow-up workflow.

  • Send a chatbot link via SMS, prompting a candidate or client to complete a chatbot flow.

  • Combine SMS outreach with automated workflows for a seamless, multi-step engagement experience.

How It Works

When building an automation, add an SMS Step and select the link type you want to send - either an automation link or a chatbot link. When the step runs, the contact receives a text message containing the plain-text URL. They can tap the link to be taken directly into the relevant flow.

📌 Note: Links are sent as clean plain text - no HTML tags or formatting characters are included in the message.

Example Use Cases

  • After an initial outreach SMS, automatically send a chatbot link for candidates to complete their availability or compliance information.

  • Route contacts into a specific follow-up automation based on their engagement, triggered via a link in an SMS.

Things to Know

  • The link is sent as plain text within the SMS message body.

  • Standard SMS character limits apply - keep accompanying message text concise.

  • Contacts must have a valid mobile number on their record for SMS Steps to trigger.
