πŸ—οΈ Follow-up messages are essential for generating responses, as most replies occur after several touchpoints. Users can build multi-step follow-up journeys using waits, messages and attachments.

⚠️ Important: If a recipient replies at any stage, the automation should stop further follow-up messages.

Add a Follow-Up After the Connection Is Accepted

  1. Go to the Accepted + No Reply outcome.

  2. Click Add Step, then select Wait to delay the next action.

  3. Add a Message step and personalise the text using tags such as name or company.

Build Multi-Step Journeys

  1. Add additional Wait steps between follow-ups to avoid rapid messaging.

  2. Include documents such as job descriptions or PDFs when relevant.

  3. Insert URL links to external pages such as job listings or company information.

  4. Continue building as many follow-up steps as needed, typically between 3–7 messages.

Handling Replies

  1. Leave the Accepted + Replied outcome blank to avoid automated responses.

  2. Allow consultants to manually take over communication after the reply.

πŸ’‘ Best Practices

  • Space messages by at least one day to avoid appearing intrusive.

  • Keep follow-ups short, clear and value-driven.

  • Avoid messaging for more than 6 months unless strategically intended.
